SNAKES

Seitz Snake Control

There are approximately 21 species of snakes common in Pennsylvania, of which 3 are venomous , the Northern Copperhead , Timber Rattlesnake , and Eastern Massauga Rattlesnake ( endangered ).  Snakes live in a variety of habitats including wetlands, fields , wooded areas , and near bodies of water. All snakes are conivorous with diets consisting of insects , frogs , rodents , and even small birds.

Snakes may decide to seek shelter in or around your home when they find suitable habitat and a sufficient food and water supply. They may den under brush piles, rock walls, in tall grass , or any other areas suitable for cover. Snakes are often seen sunning themselves on patios and walkways , and commonly seen hanging around pools and gardens. Snakes may also enter your home in search of a safe location to shed it's skin, and also in thier search for food.

If you encounter a snake around your home or property give us a call and we will quickly come out to locate and remove the unwanted guest. At times it may be difficult to locate the problem snake , but there are still things that can be done to control the problem which may include snake trapping , habitat modification , and repellant applications.
