SQUIRRELS

The Grey squirrel is the most common and abundant squirrel in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Squirrels are fast and agile, scalling trees and jumping great distances. Eastern Grey Squirrels find their way into homes by chewing holes through soffits, fascia boards, and by entering vents and chimneys. Once inside they can damage walls, insulation, and electrical wires.

Grey squirrels breed in December / January and again in June. Female squirrels will search out safe nesting sites such as attics, soffits, and chimneys to bear their young. We can install a excluder device which allows the squirrels to exit your home or property and stops them from returning. In some cases it may require that we humanely trap and remove the squirrels that are causing the problem. Whatever the case may be we can quickly and permanently solve your problem. We will also take appropriate steps to prevent a future reinfestation.

HEALTH CONCERNS:

A serious risk involving squirrels is the damage they can do to electrical wires inside a home with their constant need to chew. Bare wires are a know cause of electrical fires. Another concern involving squirrels is the contamination of insulation caused by urine and feces deposits. Upon inspection we will determine the extent of the damage.
