Fox control in PA
In recent years the red fox population has increased to high levels throughout most of s.e. Pennsylvania. With few natural predators and the ability to adapt to urban living, the red fox populates every small patch of woods and brushy area. Sightings of red foxes running down a street and across lawns have become a regular sight.
The fox is one of few predators in Pennsylvania and is an important part of our natural ecosystem. The spike in population has brought red fox closer to many residences and have led to some conflicts with people.
How Can I Get Rid Of Foxes?
Common complaints typically involve foxes getting too comfortable living close to a residence and taking up shelter under a shed or deck. For some, even the sight of a fox in their yard can be unsettling. Most problems associated with foxes can be addressed with basic preventative measures.
Exclusion such as fencing or blocking off areas will prevent foxes from resting under sheds and decks. Making a property uninviting for a fox will reduce conflicts with these beautiful animals. When all other means of deterrent have been exhausted fox trapping is a legal means of control.
